Welcome to ComfortCountry! We are situated exactly halfway between Toronto and Ottawa. Our region provides recreation enthusiasts and their families a paradise of year-round adventure. Get your photo taken in front of one of North America’s Smallest Jailhouses in Tweed, bring your kids to Madoc’s famous new Skate Park, catch an act at the Stirling Festival Theatre and take a breathtaking view of the Marmora Mine. There really is something to do all year-round.
The Marmora Cup Sled Dog Races are held the first weekend of February; bring your snowmobile, ATV or cross country skis and explore the Trans Canada Trail; take in the tastes and sounds of our agricultural fairs; from May through to October you can purchase local crafts, artwork and produce at the Madoc Village Square; tour the Hastings County Museum of Agricultural Heritage in Stirling; and why not take a stroll along our revitalized main streets and visit some of our unique shops.
The ComfortCountry brand is an award winning strategy. You can get involved by giving us your comments and attending our monthly meeting. New and fresh ideas are welcome! Click here to find out when and where our next meeting is.
