ComfortCountry / The Heart of Eastern Ontario is located midway between Ottawa and Toronto and between Bancroft and Belleville. It is a rural community made up of five municipalities: Tweed, Madoc Township, Centre Hastings, Marmora and Stirling-Rawdon. They have come together as ComfortCountry.
These municipalities understand that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts when it comes to concerns of a common nature. ComfortCountry reflects a new cooperative strategy recognizing that solutions are possible when regions come together with a will to focus on similarities instead of differences. Each municipality has unique offerings supporting a healthy, relaxed lifestyle. However, together they provide a critical mass of resources for business and commercial investors.
